Alice paraded through London wearing the costly clothes and jewels to a tournament in a triumphal chariot with the title of 'Lady of the Sun'
  • Her interference in the promotion of lawsuits in the courts to secure sentences in favour of her friends, or of those who had purchased her favour, led to her banishment from the royal household by the Good Parliament of 1376
